Friday Favourites: 31st January 2014

Heyyy :)

It's been a veeeryyy boring week as I had to study for my last exam and start planning the six assignments that I have to write till the 17th of February. YAY. So, basically I spent the whole week stuck inside, writing, studying and eating a lot of food I should not be eating. Thank God for the bad weather as I loathe staying inside if it's a beautiful day.

So with regards to outfits or clothing pieces, I do not have any favourites this week unless you want to see me in my onesie and I can assure you, you don't want to do that. The below pictures portray things that I crave for in my darkest hours!

Cupcakes

Time Machine

Fast forward to June! FAST!!

Pretty Little Liars

Even though sometimes it seems that this show does not go anywhere, I still can't get enough of it.

Kinder Chocolate

Heaven in a little bar of chocolate, or two, or five!

Have a great weekend guys!
And to those of you stuck inside writing assignments or studying for their last exams, remember that the end is near :)

Review: IT Style Nailpolish N.06

Hey guys!

So this week I decided to apply a non-pastel nail polish to my nails as I'm sure you've had enough of my love affair with pastel colours. As I've been feeling a wintery vibe these past couple of weeks, I decided to go for a darker shade of purple and the lucky winner was IT Style's purple nail polish, N.06

As it says on the cap itself, this particular nail polish leaves off a gel look which gives a nice feel to the nails. I don't normally go for purple shades, unless it's a pretty lilac but I must say, this shade caught my eye as soon as I was looking at the extremely vast stand of nail polishes at the store. It is a strong, yet mature shade, perfect for everyday use but very applicable for when you have a formal meeting to attend to.

No time to remove excess nail polish from my cuticle. YAY BUSY SCHEDULE!

What I love about IT Style nail polishes is that they seem to dry off rather quickly and that's great for someone like myself, since I always seem to mess up my manicure, thinking that the colour had dried ff completely.

My nails chip off very easily but this particular brand seems to keep the colour intact for around four days, which is the right time for me and my nerves to not get annoyed about my nails chipping off quickly!

As for the price range, I believe it was not more than 4 euros for a 10ml bottle, so that is quite fair for the great quality that I experienced from these nail polishes. These are the two IT Style nail polishes in my current collection. I say it's time to re-stock :)

N.6 and N. 124

Have you tried the IT Style nail polishes yet? What are comments on the brand?

Currently Craving: Urban Decay Naked3

Hey guys!

It's time for a 'Currently Craving' post! If you ask anyone who knows me well enough, you'll find out that I'm always craving on something new but if I decided to write a post about it, then it's definitely serious!

My recent obsession is the gem known as Urban Decay Naked3.

Even the case is gorgeous!

This palette offers twelve never-before-seen shades and I must say, they are absolutely stunning. This is coming from a girl who doesn't usually go ga-ga over eye-shadows as I prefer to go for a plainer look. The variety of shades are incredible, ranging from very pale shades to an extremely deep black matte with a shimmery glittery look.

Naked3 comes with a double-ended shadow brush/blender which looks like a very good applicator from the pictures and reviews that I have read on this product.

Go on, check this beauty out for yourselves on the Urban Decay website. I'm sure you'll be drooling all over it in no time. Don't say I didn't warn you!

Do you have Urban Decay Naked3? What are your thoughts on this palette?

Co-ordinates

I'm still very unsure on whether I would wear these two co-ord separates and mix them together. What I'm sure of is that I like this trend on these Pinterest pictures that I was looking at.

If anyone of you wants to try this look, it's quite a simple one to style. Just go for matching skirts and tops or blazers and trousers. However, make sure that you keep the rest of your outfit very simple and basic as the sole focus should be on the matching pair. Here's some inspiration for you risky fashionistas xx

Friday Favourites: 24th January 2014

Hey guys! So I've been forcing myself to stay away this week as I had an exam today and needed to cram some serious studying with minimal distractions. So now that one of those dreadful tests is finally over, I decided to take the night off and write the Friday Favourites of the week to regain my energy!

So this week practically consisted of me dressed up in my pyjamas with mugs of coffee, but yes I still managed to find some very special items things which I adored throughout this week.

1. New Make-up Storage

I've been meaning to use this vintage Cadbury storage box and I decided to store all the regular make-up there so it would be easier for me on an early horrid morning. Everything was neatly stored when I first came up with the idea but a couple of rough mornings and there you have it!

2. Beanies

The few times I went out this week, I carried a beanie with me every single time. Besides the fact that my hair decided to turn against me, I felt warmer and more relaxed when I wore one. My preference was just a plain black one for this week. I can assure you, I looked nothing like the girl in the first picture but I love how she styled the black beanie with such a beautiful coat.

And if you really insist on seeing how I looked, here's one I posted on Facebook just before I headed for a quick get together with my cousins:

3. Monochrome Nails

I changed my nail colour twice this week; from black (Essence Colour & Go) to matte white (Barry M).

I adore this picture!

4. These two products below

Comment/ leave a message if you would like me to post a review on any (or both) of these products. I can safely say that I have fallen in love with both of them and they are now in my most used make-up box!

Happy Weekend! xx

Inspiration: Hair

I must have bored you all to death with my pastel shades obsession but they are really everywhere. Today's inspiration post is about pastel hair. Take a look at these Tumblr photos I was browsing this morning whilst sipping a cup of coffee. Aren't they just absolutely gorgeous? Thumbs up to anyone who decides to brave this look xx

Friday Favourites: 17th January 2014

It's Friday again! YAY! I quite liked the idea of posting every Friday with my favourites so here's another one to let you know of my weekly obsessions :)

1. Printed Scarfs

I don't know where this love for printed scarfs came from but I found myself constantly wearing them this week. It's probably an unconscious technique to hide my uninspired outfits due to exam time. All I know is that for this week, I said goodbye to my snoods and hello to these patterned ones.

2. Lip Balms

I've been constantly applying this to my lips this week due to them being extremely chapped. What I'm currently using is the Vaseline Lip Therapy in Cocoa Butter but the Rosy Lips is definitely my favourite.

3. Spenser Hasting's Coat on Pretty Little Liars

This obsession is not healthy! It has been on my mind since last Tuesday and I am in love with it! I found an exact match on Asos but unfortunately, it is out of stock. If anyone finds something similar please let me know xx

4. Scented Candles

One way to get me instantly relaxed and in a good mood is lighting a scented candle. I tried this little experiment when I was studying and I'm surprised to say that it actually works! I found myself studying peacefully instead of frantically panicking. Study buddies, you should try it!

Have a great weekend xxx
