What I Wore: It's a Paris Thing

If you don't follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you wouldn't have witnessed my overflow of 'SUMMER IS FINALLY HERE' photos. I've had a very much needed girls weekend which involved eating more than necessary, trips to our favourite gelateria and a day at the beach with just a bit of too much sun on my skin.

One word to describe this weekend would definitely be: CHILL. Just how I like it.

After a day at the beach, we decided to go home, take a shower and meet up for coffee just to make sure that it is really summer. We have nothing to do, we're free! After two days of full relaxation, I still cannot wrap my head around it.

Event Post: Happy Birthday MVintage!

I think it's safe to say that I have been following MVintage from their first ever peak into this world. I have always loved wearing statement accessories to style my outfit and with the arrival of MVintage in Malta last year, it has become so much easier to find exactly what I'm looking for. We are now celebrating this company's one year anniversary and yesterday's event, held at The Point, was the perfect get-together to praise all the hard work that the lovely team of MVintage has put into this ever-flourishing company.

Here's what went down in the event. I admit, I was too busy socialising to take a lot of pictures but go check out Mvintage's website to look at all the pieces they have to offer. They've also just had a re-vamp done to their site for a more cleaner look. I'm sure you'll be tempted to buy a piece...or five.

Here are some details of my outfit. Don't worry, I am getting a new camera soon. I can't wait to take proper photos!

The goody bag was a great one as well! It included a gorgeous wish bone necklace, a 5% off my next MVintage purchase and a very much needed spa trip to banish away this stressful Uni year. Thank you :)

Review: Rimmel 60 Seconds Rita Ora Nail Polish, 323 Don't Be Shy

Hey guys!

As most of you may know, I was still am very busy with finals and finishing off assignments. I am so looking forward to this Summer! I'm going to make sure that it will be a great one: with a lot of beach days, cocktails and just relaxing because I honestly think I deserve it after this very hectic Uni year.

And what better way to prepare for the, already hot, summer months than a lovely nail polish? Summer screams toe cleavage and who doesn't want their hands/toes painted in a new colour?!

The Rita Ora collection from Rimmel contains all the colours you need for the Summer months, verging from the hot colours (bright colours) and the cold colours (pastels). Don't Be Shy is one of the colours in the hot range that I was given a few months ago to try out. As I said, I was pretty busy with exams so that's why I'm a bit late to the party...better late than never!

As you can see, it's a very girly colour which is very unusual for me as I rarely ever wear pink nail polish. However, this colour was so bright and summery that I just had to instantly try it out as soon as I got home from picking it up. I love the packaging; the fact that Rita Ora is showing off her nails, which are painted according to the nail polish colour, makes it all the more chic

These Rimmel 60 Seconds nail polishes really do dry super fast as they claim to do which is a bonus for me as I normally touch up my nail polish just before rushing out of the door! The colour is completely opaque with just two coats and it lasted for a good 4-5 days on my nails.

If you haven't tried these polishes be sure to check them out! All the pharmacies and supermarkets that stock Rimmel products should have them available. Plus, they're not expensive at all which is great if you're on a tight budget but still want to treat yourself to something special.

These baby and two other colours were also featured in my May Favourites which you can check out by clicking here.

Have you tried any of the Rita Ora nail polishes yet? What do you think?

May Favourites 2014

How is it June already?! With all the Fashion Week fun and the intense late-night studying, May whizzed by rather quickly. When I'm stressed, I tend to buy new things to make my day. Not so good for my credit card but splendid for my morale. Here's what I've been loving this month:

Skincare

Beauty Formulas, Extra Dry Moisturising Skin Cream & Scholl, Cracked Heel Repair Cream

Not a very attractive selection of products! However, I feel that as we start showing off a little skin, dry patches around sensitive areas start surfacing. My weak points are my elbows and heels. I use these two products twice daily; the Beauty Formulas, Extra Dry Moisturising Skin Cream for my elbows and the Scholl, Cracked Heel Repair Cream for my heels. This pair has been my life-saver this month!

Dove, Summer Glow Nourishing Lotion

This product claims to be 'a subtle gradual self-tanner' and it really is. It's not going to give you that fake tan look but it did give me a healthy glow to these ghostly looking legs that accompany me during the winter season. Also, it smells divine which is very refreshing if you're using it after your morning shower.

Beauty

Rimmel 60 Seconds Rita Ora Nail Polishes

I was given the two pink shades to test out (review coming up soon) and I loved them so much that I bought the mint one myself. The shades are so pretty; the cold shades having pastel colours and the warm shades having bold and bright colours. They really do dry in 60 seconds and I have been wearing these three polishes constantly this month! But more on these in a review!

Real Techniques, Buffing Brush

I bought a Real Techniques brush set when they were on offer on FeelUnique.com and they have changed my life, especially this buffing brush. I use this to apply my foundation and it does a wonderful job. It blends the foundation perfectly and I have been using it everyday since, making sure that whenever I clean it, I know that it will be dry by the time I plan to use it again! That is how hooked I am.

NYX Matte Lipstick, Indie Flick

You all know that I've been in love with an orange lip. If you're looking for a lipstick that will stay put for ages and make you stand out of the crowd, this is the one for you. I tend to keep my make-up on the down low whenever I wear this lipstick since it's very VERY bright. However, it's gorgeous on the lips and gives you that necessary pop of colour for summer.

Clothing

New Look, Black Paisley Print Border Kimono

This has been my go-to clothing piece this month. I love the fact that I can just throw it on whenever it gets a little chilly outside or whenever I have a plain and boring outfit which I want to spice up. You can wear it anytime of the day and feel equally chic.

Zara, Leather High Heel Mules

A favourites post isn't complete without a Zara item. I was looking for the right mules and these are the perfect pair. They are so comfortable to walk in; it's like they're not even high heels! Love them!

Mvintage, Cabochon Necklace

Another Mvintage favourite! This colour is so unlike me but it still screamed by name as soon as I saw it on the website. It looks like you can only wear it with a few pieces but in reality, you can wear it on with any outfit for a little splash of another colour.

Hope you enjoyed this favourites post! See you soon!
